VARVEL AND THE RESEARCH

Varvel is cooperating with the Physics Department of Modena and Reggio Emilia University as to the research work "Environmentally Compatible New-Generation Gearedmotors".

The research work, started in November 2009, lasts for two years during which enterprise and university will bring their own abilities into play to create innovative solutions for Varvel's product range.

It is important to highlighting Varvel commitment into the socio-economic development of our territoy, the Emilia-Romagna region. Actually, the research work financed by POR FESR, the Regional Operative Programme of European Regional Development Fund, approved in 2007 by European Commission, sets as a goal the distinguishing of Emilia-Romagna for its innovation capability and growth quality.

The research work on New-Generation Gearedmotors conceived by Varvel was choosen by POR FESR among the call for competition support of projects and services directed to entreprise-net establishment, closed in October 2008.

The research work objective is to enable Varvel  getting the needed expertise to manufacture gearedmotors that – at the end of their lifetime – do not need any exhausted lubricant disposal but recycling components.

Therefore, the research work is planned in the perspective of matching innovation, a vital goal to stay on the market and to approach new applications, together with the environment obedience that public opinion is now considering a real leading matter.

The shared challenge with Modena and Reggio Emilia University is therefore an alternative identification of conventional lubricants, always in observance of product availability and solution feasibility.

The playing persons of the research work are the Varvel's human resources, that for this project expanded the company staff by giving a neo-graduate in scientific subjects the possibility of entering the job market. A positive sign, further evidence of the company's engagement to the region growth and affluence, especially important in difficult situations as those of present times.
